One of my favorite things about AMC A-list is the opportunity to give small release or independent films a chance without losing anything beyond the run time. What I have often found is that what I gain far exceeds any time lost and this is most certainly the case with Bob Trevino Likes It. I went into this movie not knowing much about it other than the trailer had piqued my curiosity. Though I thought it would shine a light on the nuances of online relationships, to my surprise, the movie actually dove deep into the exploration of all relationships; the ones we have online, the ones we have in person and the ones we have with ourselves.

Too many of us literally lost Jesus inside His church.

How do we find Him? How do we cast off the lies we’ve believed about Him? How do reclaim Jesus for ourselves?

It’s not been a burning question but it has been one of those things I was curious about, especially since scripture paints a picture of John the Baptizer straight up dunking folks. Serving in production often put me in the booth on Baptism Sundays, which were always a favorite day. I love hearing the stories as I marvel at all the ways God Almighty chases us. There may have been dry eyes in the room but mine never were and I often catch myself watching @kaylagabbardministry baptizing folks even now. Lemme just say, amazing things happen in baptisms.

This is what betrayal looks and feels like to those of us who have experienced it. The wound is deep and the healing is long, painful, lonely and costly.

But God…. 😭

Everyone gathers for the spilled tea, few stick around to mop it up. Let me assure you though, the cleanup is holy. If the Lord entrusts you with personal experiences that become someone else’s med pack, rest assured He is binding their wounds with and through you.

Cal used money to enslave people as does the ancient Egyptian god, mammon, Jesus called by name in Matthew 6:24 and Luke 16:13. Most Bibles translate the proper name Jesus (Yeshua) used as “money”, which kinda explains the symbolism on US currency 😬🤐

Cal personifies mammon, in every way, including one the Lord dropped on me today as he is the character who speaks the line “God Himself couldn’t sink this ship” 🤯

Eventually, humans begin to look like the gods they serve, forcing the Lord Almighty into a war. Pay attention and inspect the “fruit” before you find yourself on the losing side of the battle.

This morning, the Lord shifted my vision of her, ever so slightly, to reveal why the alliance with the foul spirit controlling Cal makes perfect sense 🤯
